Let’s be honest, owning a small business is hard.
You’re the kid with ten fingers in eleven holes on the bottom of the boat. You’re squelching fires when all you want to do is make a s’more and sing Kum-Baya. You’re the money-guru, the people-person, the final say, the tough guy, and the smiling front-of-house (and you were told Shapeshifters don’t exist–ha!).
With everything that is expected of you to keep your boat afloat, it’s all too easy to skimp on peripheral tasks (and rightly so). But one of the most important investments you could be making for your business is often one of the most overlooked. And, that’s blogging.
Like never before, an online presence is not only key–it’s essential!
In an article on Business2Community.com, Kapil Jekishan compiles some staggering stats.
- “Companies with active blogs generate 55 percent more site visits, 97 percent more links to their websites, and their pages get indexed a whopping 434 percent more often.”
- “Today, 44 percent of online shoppers start their search for products and services by using a search engine.”
- “Simply posting paid advertisements on search results pages isn’t enough. Up to 70 percent of the links users choose to click on are organic results, such as business blogs with the appropriate structure and key terms, and not sponsored links.”
- “Inbound marketing methods, such as business blogging, generate leads that cost an average of 62 percent less than leads generated via outbound methods.”
So, while we’re being honest, if you don’t have a business blog, you’re behind the times. Like never before, an online presence is not only key–it’s essential!
And I’d love to help.
For a limited time, I’m offering three blog posts for the price of one for small businesses like yours.
You’ve got a lot to do and too many hats to wear and holes to plug. Let me do the writing while you do the rest.
